Home Visits / Family Christmas Parties

A Home Visit / Family Christmas Party has different settings. Many Home Visits / Family Christmas Parties are similar to the “Present Delivery” except longer. The request for the longer time usually stems from larger families. More time is allotted for each child or individual. Children of ALL ages are sometimes engaged. And sometimes the group is an extended family or neighborhood group,

The Home Visits / Family Christmas Parties usually are arranged during the Christmas Season to deliver presents (arranged by parents / clients). Santa Max has also visited families with the focus of congratulating / acknowledging a child or children on a successful event or year or achieving a special goal. This would include achievements or behaviors that are noteworthy and the family wishes to reward. Sometimes the visit is simply a follow up on making the Nice List. No matter the spin or frame of the visit, there is a discussion with the children (of all ages), a story book maybe read, if the group is inclined Santa will sing with the family / group. When arranged, presents are given out and photos are taken as requested (family’s choice). During the activity and attention on presents, Santa wishes the family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

For larger Home Visits / Family Christmas Parties, Santa mixes with the merry makers, passes out candy canes and professional photos or selfies are taken. There is a tendency for some ladies to take a pic with Santa to send to the grandchildren. The message is grandma is “friends” with Santa, be nice to grandma.

When I say, children of ALL ages, Home Visits / Family Christmas Parties have been held at nursing homes where the “children” (now adults) and arranged a family get together for their aging parents to brighten their holidays and let them know that they are also treasured…
